I have to plead lazy on this, as well, as I didn't watch (or even look into) the series for myself.

All of these are actually in the midst of showing on cable right now, even though I think it aired originally in 2005 (right?). Sweet cable, several years behind the times, at all times. Living in the Great White North doesn't help, either. Most shows air at least one year late here :*(Kitty LeClawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00006739666538857277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5366024069182825446.post-31526051300314094652008-07-16T20:30:00.000-04:002008-07-16T20:30:00.000-04:00I should qualify my remarks about "Valerie" by say...I should qualify my remarks about "Valerie" by saying that I went in with really low expectations and was surprised when it wasn't terrible. After seeing (and enjoying) "Haeckel's Tale," methinks I would like to give the series a second chance, and catch up on some of what I've missed (which is pretty much the entire series).

Thanks for the recommendations!Kitty LeClawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00006739666538857277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5366024069182825446.post-83677229571634845512008-07-16T19:49:00.000-04:002008-07-16T19:49:00.000-04:00I'm surprised by the tepid response "Haeckel's Tal...I'm surprised by the tepid response "Haeckel's Tale" received from most people--I think it's one of the better episodes of the series. Stuart Gordon's "Dreams of the Witch House" and "The Black Cat" are top-notch, by the way, and the other Barker adaptation, "Valerie on the Stairs," isn't half bad.The Headless Werewolfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04054963418066619084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5366024069182825446.post-54609829317330381312008-07-14T15:08:00.000-04:002008-07-14T15:08:00.000-04:00As I stated in the endnotes, I watched 2 episodes ...As I stated in the endnotes, I watched 2 episodes of the MoH series and promptly tuned out. What a stinkfest! Haeckel's Tale was somewhat slow to get going, and failed a little in the end, but the middle bits were quite tasty! I haven't seen zombie makeup like that in some time...

This item is available on rapidshare via Horror House, if you're interested.
